May Day or Mayday

Today is May day. Or Labour Day ie International Workers Day. Or just the first of May.
I did not have a picture of May Blossom so I had to make do with one that we make of Almond trees from the Mallorcan Collection.
Celebrated as a bank holiday in many countries we here at Grovely Puzzles work on May day as do most UK businesses but we will have a day of for the Early May Bank Holiday on Monday 4th. A day of leisure and traffic jams!
Mayday however is a completely different proposition. "Mayday" is the international radio distress signal used by aircraft, ships, and emergency services to indicate a life-threatening, grave emergency requiring immediate assistance. It is spoken three times consecutively ("Mayday, mayday, mayday") to ensure it is not mistaken for another word.
So if you are stuck in a May Bank Holiday traffic jam you may feel that you want to yell "Mayday."
Maybe then Bank Holiday Monday should be a stay at home and do a puzzle day.
Glass of Wine or cup of tea, why get stressed when you do not need to!
Happy Puzzling Everyone!
