Mother, Mummy, Mum, Mama or maybe something different, Sunday is the day we celebrate our mothers. We all had one but maybe we do not now. My Mum passed away over 30 years ago, but I still think of her most days and especially on Mothers Day. Mum was a good cook, loved her garden and her husband and two daughters. I was born in the 1950's and was a child in the 1960's when it was almost compulsory to joining the Brownies for girls and the Cub Scouts for boys. Consequently we always celebrated the birthday of Robert Baden-Powell on 22nd February, the day being known as Thinking Day. Have recently made puzzles for two local churches to raise funds for repairs. Bishopstone and and Tisbury. Puzzles seem to be a good way of promoting the churches and helping with funds raising. Churches often have wonderful positions, idea for the outside image, but often have delightful stained glass windows or interesting and unusual features inside.
